ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: SSO Advice I managed a Lithium community that went through this a few years ago, and we did utilize Lithium's Professional Services team to configure SAML. The transition was fairly smooth, and the benefit of having a single login for community and support's CRM was immense. A few very high level ProTips: 1. Provide your community members with plenty of advanced notifications. Community users will need to reset their passwords to get in via the new SSO system. You want to give community members early warningsso thatthey know this is coming after the transition. 2. Thoroughly document the end user transition process with screenshots, videos..etc. 3. Think about how your communityuser roles will map to your identity provider's user roles. If you want to enhancements to setup auto-role assignment upon registration (employee and partner roles..etc), this is a good opportunity to do so. If you are migrating several different user databases into the identity provider's platform, you will need to work out a way to consolidate duplicate records (for example, employees' Lithium reg and AD records..etc). 4. Test, test, and test again. Make sure you have comprehensive test cases for all user roles / scenarios. 5. Cut over during low traffic hours. This probably means that you and your team will be pulling an all-nighter on the weekend. However, this will also prevent support channels from getting overloaded if things don't go as expected. Make sure you have your IT team, SSO provider's PS team and Lithium PS on standby as well. With adequate planning this should be a fairly smooth project. I am sure Lithium has done this many, many times and their PS team can handle this in their sleep. Feel free to ping me if you have any specific questions! Re: Creating a post with an email Hixorrkaz Sorry to necro a 2 year old thread, but I found your post through search, and I was wondering if you have finished this project? If so, would you be willing to share what you've done with the community? Email to initial post is also something we are very interested in doing. Thanks, ac
