In light of the recent attacks on social media accounts, we have taken the precautionary measure of pausing access to the Khoros Marketing platform. This is temporary. We do not take this lightly.

We urge you to take a moment to implement the following security procedures natively on each social network (outside of Khoros) please implement two-factor authentication for each social network account if you haven’t already:

We are operating with heightened caution, which we hope you understand. Please subscribe to the status page or this Atlas Marketing blog to stay abreast of the latest platform status.

We appreciate your patience.

  • Is it to be expected that we are currently unable to access the platform and receive a 503 error?

  • We are experiencing the 503 error across MULTIPLE client accounts (separate logins entirely).

  • Is there more information about what the recent attacks on social media accounts are? This update is written in a way that suggests it's public information, but I've been unable to locate any reference to it in the news. Is the reference to some kind of widespread hacking attempt or something more limited and specific to Khoros accounts?

  • I've heard of some sporadic attacks on sports social media such as the NFL and its teams by OurMine, but I'm not sure how taking down Khoros is helping the rest of the community.  Was this an attack driven through Khoros?  More information about the how and why the decision was made to take down publishing would be very helpful.  With no comment in 3 hours the situation feels less than transparent (especially when we have social community managers around the world asking us what they should do about publishing and why Khoros is down and we can't really provide an answer).
