Khoros Care Release Notes, week of August 30, 2021
Khoros Care updates do not require any downtime. This release will be deployed with no expected impact to your operations until you configure the new features. If you do not yet see the new features, they will be pushed to your system later in the week.
New Features
Integrate with LinkedIn personal profile pages
LinkedIn supports both “company pages” and “personal profile” pages for different use cases. A company page supports followers rather than connections, ties together the personal profile pages of employees who work at the company, and often serves as the primary voice of a brand on LinkedIn.
However, many brands have employees who are influencers in their own right, and want the capability to post, respond, and announce company news as that individual employee. A company’s founder, CEO, President, or public spokesperson may have a LinkedIn personal profile page that is equally as visible and as frequently searched for as the primary company page.
In order to support a fuller branded approach to connecting with your LinkedIn users, we’ve added the ability to create an integration that connects Khoros Care with a personal profile page.
Credentials needed to integrate with LinkedIn personal profiles
Integrating with a personal profile is similar to the existing process for integrating with a company page, with one key difference: the Care user enters the LinkedIn credentials for the personal profile with which they want to integrate (the same credentials the profile owner uses to sign in to LinkedIn).
Important: Each personal profile must be integrated by separate Care admin users, and cannot be configured by an admin who has already integrated a company page.
This differs from the process of integrating with company and showcase pages, in which the Care user signs in with their own LinkedIn credentials and then selects from a list of company pages for which they’ve been given admin access.
Integrating Khoros Care with a LinkedIn personal profile
Sign in to Care as a user who has not yet configured any LinkedIn integrations, then follow these steps:
- Go to Care Settings > Integrations > Source Integrations.
- Click the LinkedIn icon.
- Click Sign in with LinkedIn. (Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off.)
- Enter the username and password for the LinkedIn personal profile. (If you’re already signed in, make sure you’re using the correct account before continuing.)
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your LinkedIn account. When you see the prompt to give Khoros access, click Allow.
When you’re done, you are returned to the Source Integrations page in Khoros Care. - If the personal profile page also has admin permissions for company pages, you must select the personal profile at the top of the available list. Any relevant company pages appear below it.
- Set your desired preferences for the integration.
- Make sure the toggle to enable the integration is set to On.
- Click Done Editing.
You’re now ready to post, comment, and reply as the integrated LinkedIn individual through Khoros Care.

You found it. We fixed it.
- Previously, users with the User Admin user type were able to assign other Admin privileges to any users in their instance of Care. This issue has been resolved so that only users who already have the Account Admin user type can assign these privileges to users. User Admins can continue to create users and assign other non-Admin roles.
- Resolved an issue that prevented the delete and hide options from being displayed on Instagram posts in Care even when the options were enabled in the integration.
- Previously, when an author completed a Modern Chat pre-chat form, an agent closed the conversation, and then the author refreshed the browser, the pre-chat form disappeared for the author. This issue has been resolved.
- Resolved an issue with Content Filtering in which an Agent could not view Facebook content that had been redacted (due to configured inbound redaction rules) when they clicked View redacted content.
