LarryI I have checked gifs on our 24.04 classic box and they are working for us. We have had issues with Gifs previously but these usually turn out to be gifs that are fully compliant with the GIF standard and simply re-encoding them fixes it.
I am not sure I understand the png issue so can't comment on that and we don't use the reason notifications so no help there either I am afraid.
