Access TKB via REST API

As far as the REST API is concerned, TKB nodes are just another "Board", so you can use any of the same methods you would for any other "Board":

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/rest-api/bd-p/developers-rest-api?branch=Board

Let's use the Developers Knowledge Base as an example:

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/developers-knowledge-base/tkb-p/studio%40tkb

The id for this TKB is "studio@tkb". If you URL encode that id, you get "studio%40tkb". So this encoded ID is what you'll want to use for your calls.

For example, you can get an individual TKB if you know the id:

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/restapi/vc/boards/id/studio%40tkb

You can also get recent TKB artcles

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/restapi/vc/boards/id/studio%40tkb/threads

There are many other methods available for "Board" objects, so be sure to check out the first link I added.

You can even request a list of all the TKB nodes in the community:

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/rest-api/bd-p/developers-rest-api?leaf-id=Community.nodes.type.key.node_type_key#Community.nodes.type.key.node_type_key.nested

For example:

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/restapi/vc/nodes/type/key/tkb/nested

Unfortunately I have no success using this, please help to spot the error.

In our TKB we have setup a test board (named "Testboard"), and I am trying to access it using this authenticated call:

http://www.a1community.net/a1net/restapi/vc/boards/id/Testboard@tkb?restapi.session_key=E-1ctzu74jtKpmrdHRDKFgachjBKE34DCe__MEK5T3I.

This is the response I receive:

The board can be access via Web at

    http://www.a1community.net/t5/tkb/dashboardpage

a single post in this board has this URL:

It looks like your TKB may be private, so unfortunately I'm not able to see all the links you provided. From your sample REST API call though, the error seems to suggest that there is no node with the id you specified. I would suggest double checking the id of your TKB. Please note that this is the ID specified when you first created the TKB, and will be different from the title that you've added for the TKB.

If you don't recall what ID you used for the TKB, you can browse to the front page of the TKB and examine the URL to determine the ID. For example, here on the Lithosphere I can browse to the front page of the Developers Knowledge Base:

http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/developers-knowledge-base/tkb-p/studio%40tkb

The very last part of the URL, after "tkb-p" is the TKB node id. In this case, it's "studio%40tkb", or URL decode it's "studio@tkb". Please also note that if you've created a stand-alone TKB node (instead of being associated with a board), the TKB node id may not necessarily have the "@tkb" suffix.

I would like to understand this concept a bit better,

I understand that it is another board but if you are using a solutions template as per link like

how would you assignt the Symptoms, Diagnosis, Solution field using the API

As the the board API that I have seen don't have these options as fields.

So I basically want to post to a TKB using rest API and the different headings in a template.
