API Data Access

Apologies in advance for my lack of API understanding / knowledge. We're looking at going back X amount of years to data mine community topics or posts for categorization purposes.   1) Any limitat...

    Hey,

     

    I don't know the limits but knowing your community that's going to be a massive amount of data to pull via API so I would guess your hit some kind of an issue trying to pull so much data and may be limited to a number of batches, that said once you have built your call I am sure you can format the data howeve you want but I think default would be XML 

     

    Out of interest what level of detail do you want to export and have you also considered the ability to bulk export search results as a csv? Alternatively there may be something Li support could do as a one off export?

Delayed response but that's for the info.

 

As far as level of detail, it would either be by topic subject and/or the all thread content.

 

Great suggestion on the search result export. Unfortunately we don't have the option of enabling blank search results in our community due to the size, so I'm not sure that this would provide the unrestricted level of data that we're after without potentially blocking some of it.
