Art Share - Image Gallery

Hi All,

 

I'm tasked with creating a forum category for artists who want to share images with each other.  I'd like to repurpose the Community Images widget, using it as a Recently Added Art section above my thread.

 

Is it possible to use the Community Images widget, but keep it board specific?

 

I'm guessing that what I'll need to do is create a custom compenent that does a REST call asking for images from a specific board.  Does this sound accurate?  If so, is this a support call?

    Hi, 

     

    Here is a really gfood example of image sharing on the lithium platform, i think they use the contents widget to achieve this. To be honest i'm not sure there is a public image gallery component that you could scale however I could and may be very wrong there, sure one of the other guys/gals will be able to offersoem advice.

    That is a very cool implementation!

     

    I would be very interested in how this was created.  Do you know if this is "just" a highly evolved custom widget?

    I could be wrong but from what i have been told is that this is the contest module which is customized "highly obviously"

    I would agree. Kudos to their design / engineering team.

     

    I hope to acheive something somwhat simliar, and I'm thinking that doing a REST call to gather images from certain boards would be a great place to start.

     

    Is that something you're able to help me with? Or point to me towards documentations that would enable me just to pull images from certain boards and display them?
