Authenticate External APi calls from Lithium

Question

I have a requirement&nbsp;to call an external API from Lithium. I want to know what kind of Authentications Lithium provides to call external API. I am wondering if there is any mutual or oAuth certs which Lithium provides. Thanks in Advance.
