Thanks a lot for your help on this.

We are going ahead with session key API mechanism.Could you please clarify below queries :


1. Can we call lithium APIs called over SSL - https ? - For authentication and pulling the data ?

2. Can we use post method instead get ? Please provide sample codes.

  1. Yes you can,as long as your community instance is configured with a valid SSL certificate. We recommend this.
  2. Each call will expect a GET or POST method depending on what you are trying to do, in line with the HTTP method semantics. You can review our documentation to know exactly which method is supported for which call.

 

For both APIs (v1 and v2) you should also be able to find plenty of code examples here on the  Developer Forum, alternatively have a look at the Developer Network frontpage which links to the most suitable resources.
