Badge Mail Notification

Hi all,

I want to modify one of the badge rules we are using. Actually there are a number of users who already earned the badge. So I want to delete the badge, modify the rule and recreate the badge. The question I have is: Can I create a badge without mail notification about the created and instandly earned badge? For the users there will be no difference and we don't want to confuse them.

Thanks for the help!

Regards,

Michael

  • If you delete a badge and re-create it, it's a new badge. Per notifications, you can set up the default behavior, as described here. (Users can override these settings in their personal settings.)

Tip: When creating a badge, you can get a preview of how many users will be awarded the badge, so you can fine-tune it if needed before you go live.

Wendy_S - that's right. This behavior is to prevent existing members from getting a flood of notifications as you roll out new badges to your community.
