Best way for component alignment fixes

Hi Folks, I would like to know, which is the best way to do alignment fixes and cosmetic changes ... Can I create a new skin and override the CSS which is present in Firebug?  Cheers, Girish.

Yes, you have to create a new skin to override the changes.  Make sure in the new custom skin you are inheriting your base skin as well. Also, you have to apply it in admin section so the changes can reflect.
