Hi Srujana,
Is there anything showing when you click the edit icon next to the avatar on the profile page? Do you see any Javascript errors in the JS console?
Also make sure the avatar collection you uploaded your avatar to is actually available to your test user. See also the documentation here https://community.lithium.com/t5/Skins-and-assets/Upload-an-avatar/ta-p/109003
Hi Claudius,
Nothing happens when I click on the edit icon and I don't see any errors in the console. The edit icon works fine with Lithium default images and avatar collection we uploaded. This is not working only for my personal pic that I uploaded as avatar. I tried checking with other users too who uploaded their personal pics as avatars. The edit icon is not working for them too.
Thanks,
Srujana.

Thanks for clarifying. I was first understanding you were using the studio interface to upload new avatar assets.
But if I understand you correctly you were using the photo album upload to add your picture. In this scenario you might want to check that your test user has the permission "Use an uploaded avatar image".
I'm still a bit confused because you say "edit icon works fine with Lithium default avatars, but not for my personal picture". Because the out of the box behaviour when clicking the edit button on the profile page is to show a lightbox that would offer you the choice between uploading a new photo from your computer, your already uploaded photos in your albums and picking one from the community avatar collections:
"Edit Avatar" popup on Lithium Community
Do you see this lightbox at all?

I am sorry for the confusion as I may not have used the right terms, I am pretty new to Lithium.
But yes, the lightbox is what exactly I am referring to. I don't see it at all when I click on the edit icon, in fact, nothing happens.
But when I click on the edit icon of a Lithium default avatar, this lightbox appears. See screenshot below.

Indeed if you are clicking on an already changed custom avatar then the avatar cropping experience should be triggered. You can try it out by clicking on your own avatar picture from your profile page here on the Lithium Community. Not sure why it's not working on your stage instance and I would suggest for the more in-depth investigation necessary you best raise a case with Lithium support.
As an alternative you can access your avatar settings from within "My Settings" as well. You can click through My Settings -> Avatars or you just adjust the following domain by replacing the domain with your stage community's: https://community.yourdomain.com/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/user-icons
