Hi Beryllium,
Could I see a screenshot of where you're referring to? Also, please note what browser you're using. The custom component boxes should be able to be resized in supported browsers.

Also I'll point out sine i remembered that notes don't save at all

I tried both Safari and Chrome for OSX 10.8

All - Thank you for the extra detail on this. It seems this is an issue with certain browsers.
I am discussing with our development staff a fix for Chrome and Safari, however it looks like IE does not support resize in general - http://caniuse.com/#feat=css-resize
I will update this thread once I receive further information.
