contact form

Is it possible to implement an easy contact form to my community, for an email to me? It would fit best in the FAQ-area.

    Hi a_hobbitt,

     

    I don't think you can send an e-mail directly from Lithium. Two approaches to this problem could be :

     

    • Create a custom component / custom page and integrate a third party API to trigger the sending of the e-mail. The details would of course depend on what does the third party require for sending an e-mail
    • Create a custom component / custom page to collect the data and and use the Lithium REST API to send a Private Message to your account (instead of using e-mails). In this case, you may want to have a look at the calls that AdamN has detailed here and here

        No worries. If you requirement mandates the use of e-mails, then perhaps you may want to get in contact with the Lithium Project Manager to get this investigated in detail as a Professional Services engagement.
