Count total blog articles in one specific category level

Hi All,    i am currently working on a custom component which can count all the blog articles in one specific category level. I can not find any related REST API to do that.    What I have workar...

    The only difference is that mine is filtering to only include blog articles - yours will include any forum topics, ideas etc. that may exist in that category. If the category only contains blogs, they should give you the same number.
