Ah I see. Did you take the time to check out the second life community I liked to? I would suggest if you have the time/resources getting creative with your badge. You could try shrinking that "A" logo in your current badge and doing something like the badges detailed at the bottom of that post, to look similar to this:
Also, you can leave the rest of your community liquid, and just fix the width of the user info area, or add some css to the profile badge so that the background image doesn't repeat.
