Custom font not applied to board style

I'd say the font settings you added to the theme in Community Skins were being overwritten by the "News Skin" CSS. These settings are the base for fonts and colours but since your theme is based on an existing one its CSS took over. Adding CSS to your skin was the right thing to do as it further down the CSS file and provided its specific enough should overwrite the ones higher up.

If you use Chrome and the Inspect Element by right clicking on the text in question and the Inspector will show you what CSS is being set, overwritten and in what CSS files they are located.
