Deleting a tag via the REST API?

Hello,  I am working with the rest API to overhaul our current forum, and I'm trying to find a way to remove a tag from a post.   I am able to add tags via the REST API, but I can't find any refer...

Unfortunately, deleting tags via the REST API is not currently supported. If you're interested in having this added, I'd strongly suggest that you submit this idea to our idea exchange (http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/Ideas/idb-p/Lithium_Ideas) for consideration by our Product team.

I also need to delete tags via the REST API, I think that will be not difficult.
