I'd definitely suggest checking out our ActiveCast Talkback Widget. You can learn more about it (and other ActiveCast widgets) in the PDF attached here:

If the Talkback widget doesn't exactly meet your needs, building a custom solution using our REST API is always an option. There are many REST API methods available for obtaining thread and user data, as well as for posting new messages and updating content.
