Explanation of all SSO configuration parameters

Where are all of the SSO configuration parameters documented?  Specifically, there are the current set of parameters:

  • Turn on Lithium single sign-on (SSO)

This one is obvious and clear what it does.

  • Bounce URL (Optional)

I need help with this one.

The bubble help says: "URL to bounce the first request of a session to, used to determine login state. Used in bounce SSO scenarios only. Leave blank to disable bounce behavior."

How exactly is this url being used?

  • Allow SSO user Email changes

No bubble help clues on this one.  What exactly is this enabling?

  • Language Parameter Name

Bubble help says: "Name of the query string parameter to pass to the host system."

First, which system is the "host" system? The lithium system or the system validating the user?

I did find some documentation on this site about the "profile.language" settings value, but this is clearly something different.  Is the "host" system in fact the system logging in the user and that this is a language settings being sent from the lithium system to the sso system informing it what language the user currently is using?

  • Return Value Parameter Name

Bubble help also says: "Name of the query string parameter to pass to the host system."

This is already filled in with "referer", and this is documented in the various Lithium Single Sign-On Solution admin pdfs, and is the url to redirect back to the lithium site.

  • Redirect Reason Parameter Name

Bubble help once again says: "Name of the query string parameter to pass to the host system."

Assuming that the "host" system is in fact the system logging in the user, then is this the reason for the redirect from the lithium system to the sso login system? Are these different reasons then the 3 URLs below and if so, what are the possible reasons?

  • URL to registration page

This I understand.

  • URL to login page

One this one I understand.

  • URL to logoff page

And this one is clear to.

I did search this site high and low for this information, but I was unable to find it. If this is in fact documented somewhere, please post the links.

Thanks,
