Hey Tripp,

You should be able to do this using the new HttpClient. You can see it described here: http://lithosphere.lithium.com/t5/developers-knowledge-base/Context-objects-for-custom-components-http-client/ta-p/80614

At the moment we're in Beta with the feature and you will have to send a message to JeffY to get that enabled for your community.
