Fetch unanswered messages from more than one category in one rest API call

Hi all, Currently we have a rest call as:   http://community.lithium.com/community-name/restapi/vc/categories/id/support/unanswered   but, I want to fetch the messages from more than one categor...

There may be a simpler method, but this could be achieved using a custom end point (concatenating the data from multiple REST API calls).
