Few clarifications needed in responsive

Hi,

When lithium enables responsive in stage current OOB quilts and components will be upgraded to fit responsive.

will this responsive upgrade blocks the self-studio publish?

What is the best option to push some kind of p1 fix to production (non-responsive) during the responsive development/validation in a stage without disturbing the current production quilts and components?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

    phani,

Whenever there is a project that is unfinished or in progress on your stage site, Studio Self Publish (SSP) isn't technically blocked, but it might as well be because if you were to use it, your partially finished changes would go to production. For long projects, we usually do block SSP for this very reason so we don't have any accidental pushes.

Responsive redesigns fit in this category: at the very least, all of your CSS and most of your quilts will be changed, and you want to do a SSP when the project is complete and not before.

If you have a fix to your production, non-responsive site that needs to be made, you would need to file a support ticket.

Keep in mind that if the change needs to be made in stage as well, you'll need to make sure it gets in there too. Otherwise when you are finished and push your redesign to production, the code you pushed only to prod will be lost.
