How are Total Page Views calculated in the Event report?

I'm new to Lithium's API and have been tasked with pulled data from our community. I've gotten the data I want, but the analyst I'm comparing numbers with is getting numbers drastically lower that what the Event report in lithium shows. To compare she is summing up the total of records with an action.key = "view" in our data source that pulls from the API. That total is much lower than Lithium's Event report total. 

 

Is this the proper way to calculate Total Page Views?

    Brandon1115 Can you clarify what the Event Report is?  

     

    Regarding data from the Bulk Data API, your analyst is querying the data correctly for all page views.  Filter by action.key=view and counting for each one should give you page views for the date range of files you've collected.
