How can I tell if a message "contains a hyperlink" or "contains an image", etc... using the APIs?

In the "message-list" connector, next to the message subject it indicates if the message contains a hyperlink, picture, video...  Is this information available via the rest APIs or is it parsed from the message content?  In either case, if anyone has an example of retrieving this information, I would appreciate it.

    Are you trying to re-build the message list or using it in any other custom widget? If this is for the custom message list, I would suggest you to get in touch with Lithium PS.
