Using REST call, I need to get the Board id or Thread id where there have been posts between two dates. Is there a way to search a board or thread for messages posted between two given dates ?
Not sure if the "?date_start=2013-04-01&date_end=2013-04-08" parameters works for search REST API calls as well. Can you test and share your findings?

That approach should work with both the CommunitySearchContext and NodeSearchContext "messages" methods. So you should be able to search the entire community, or drill down into a specific category or board/blog/idea exchange/etc.
