How Do you Update Your Login Name Within the Community?

Here's what I've done so far:

1. Created a new user in the community (new_user).

2. Assigned that user a role (role_a).

3. Gave permissions to users with role_a to be able to "Change own login name" under the "User Management" section.

4. Logged in with new_user.

5. Clicked on my login name in the upper right corner (next to logout).

6. Clicked the "edit my profile link".

7. Under the personal profile tab, I expected to see a "Login" tab, but I don't (I expected this because my admin account has it there, and is able to update the login name)

Is there something I'm missing?

Please help.

Kind regards,

Peter

    Welcome to the Lithosphere.

You ask a good question.  However, the answer somewhat pivots on whether your community is Single-Sign-On or not.  Is your community using SSO?

    We use SSO.

In our production environment our users are able to change their own login name.

However, in our staging environment, we recently changed the config to read a username from the login cookie, and we cannot get the UI to change username to show, even after giving users the permission.

We did not have the permission set up properly in our staging environment before, so we don't know if it would have worked before this config change either.
