How to fully edit a component?

I was wondering where you can see the guts and structure of a component? For example with the ask an expert(quesiton) component, where can I see how it is structured or edit that structure? For example, what if I wanted to put the button at the top of the compent?

 

I know that I can target the CSS and the text via the tools avaiable in studio. But is there a location where I can actually grab a components structure and change it, add to it etc?

 

It seems we have all these componenets but no way to copy them and create custom ones based on these nicely established pre built ones from Lithium.

    As far as I know the built in components are internal and you can't get access to the source. Its more than likely they are not Freemarker / Custom Component compatible. It would be nice to see the internals so that you can adjust an existing component rather than completely write your own from scratch.
