How to rename a category ID once created under community structure

Hi All,   While creating a new category inside community structure, lithium gives an option to give an ID. After i create a category is there a way to rename the ID later? I only see option saying...

Short answer - No.

To elaborate, you cannot change the ID once it is created because it would actually create a big problem had this been the case because in case someone could change the ID, think about the consequences where the developer has used the ID in the code, or anything which is dependent on the ID in page initialization script etc.

Possible way to change it is, in case the category/ board you created is a new one, delete it and create another with desired ID.

Thanks for the reply, i had to follow delete and re-create the nodes to change the ID
