Is it possible to fetch custom fields in Bulk Data API

Hey all, have a situation where a custom metadata field was added to ideas and it would be great to be able to retrieve this field via the Bulk Data API. I'm guessing that this isn't possible, but I wanted to confirm that this is that case. Thanks.
