Manipulating TKB article revisions programmatically

Before I open an Idea on this, I figured I'd check one more time if I'm missing something.  We'd love to be able to retrieve, delete, publish historical article revisions using the REST API as one can do in the GUI.  This just doesn't seem possible.  No where can you pull the current revision number of an article or look at past revisions.  Am I right that this just doesn't exist?  Thanks.
