what is the maximum number of characters one can set for posts?

The maximal number of characters that can be set for a post is 1.000.000. Should your require a higher number you could fill a request with Lithium Support.

Where do we edit maximum number of characters? For TKB?
Seems you have to raise a ticket to support for TKB.
Got answer from support to do this:
Admin -> Discussion Styles -> Posts & Topics -> Posts Display -> Maximum number of characters in post
Was set to 20 000 for our sommunity, changed to 1 000 000:)
Noting for future searchers (forcing some keywords): To configure the maximum character length of a TKB document, it's the same as the max number of characters in a discussion post and can be changed in Admin -> Discussion Styles -> Posts & Topics -> Posts Display -> Maximum number of characters in post
