Meta tags for shorttitle

Is it possible to add meta tags for a page shorttile using values from page.head.title?

This is the shorttitle used for our on site search (not Lithium search) and elsewhere -- not to be confused with the breadcrumb shorttitle.

    Thanks for the reply. To clarify: if our page titles are defined as page.head.title = {0} {1} {2}, could we could define a shorttitle in the meta tags as page.head.title = {1}.
