Overriding a component not allowed error

I am trying to override the search form (common.widget.search-form) component, but there is error saying "There is already a component with this name. Please enter another name." i'm naming the component as "common.widget.search-form@override".

There is no component with the same name, I have checked multiple times. What could be a reason for this error?
