Q&A ActiveCast Behavior

Hi there,

We've setup a test Q&A ActiveCast and we're a little but confused about the functionality it provides.

We've input the ActiveCast within one of our pages out with our community. We expected this Q&A ActiveCast to pull all Q&A content from our community, including any Q&A content that has been created directly through the community and not just the external ActiveCast we've created.

It seems as if the Q&A ActiveCast will only pull in results that have been made through the Q&A ActiveCast only. The article here mentions that the Q&A widget will only return searches that have been posted via that widget. However, it is unclear that this means it will only pull back search results from content made via the ActiveCast or through all content that is made through to our community via Q&A.

We would expect the Q&A ActiveCast to pull back existing Q&A content made directly to our community and not just content that has been made through the ActiveCast Q&A widget.

• Is there any examples of the Q&A ActiveCast being used out there and how does it behave?
• Does anyone else out there know if this is the expected behavior or if this a fault?
• If this isn't the expected behavior, what are the reasons behind the Q&A ActiveCast only pulling this content back?

If this behavior is expected of this ActiveCast, it is something that should probably change. User's who would interact with the Q&A ActiveCast within this part of the site would benefit from seeing all of the Q&A content within our forum, even if this has been posted directly through our community.

Any help and input would be greatly appreciated.
