Question around the setting: Remove html from posts

Hi Team,

Does anyone knows if the setting: "Mysettings > Subscriptions & notifications > Email Format > Remove html from posts" has any security impact. We are planning to hide it but I am not sure if it just for preventing malformed email or has any security impact as well.

    Thanks Chris. That's my understanding as well but wanted to make sure I am not assuming things. Not sure if this setting is needed anymore..

    Doesn't this setting allow you as a member to force plain text emails? I can't see that causing any issues unless people are still using a really really really old terminal based mail client 😁
