In that same section of the admin there is also a setting for "Preview attached documents in online viewer". Have you tried disabling this?
I created a new message with an attachment but when clicking to view its still being uploaded to lithium.app.box.com
The field is blank in the attachment settings so not sure why it would do that...

ChristineC - This would completely disable the attachment viewer option. However, it wouldn't solve the issue as the issue is the URL of an attachment is being rendered incorrectly.
jaread83 - Can you also confirm if host URL setting is not updated for the specific board where you are posting a message with an attachment. If this doesn't solve the issue, you can turn off the online attachment viewer as mentioned by ChristineC. There could be some configuration changes for which you can raise a ticket to lithium support.

Thanks TariqHussain and ChristineC for your replies. I can confirm that the location of the upload field is blank on all areas of our community but it doesn't make any difference, the 'preview' version of the file is hosted on a cloud service that I cannot view and user are finding that the preview file is stuck in a redirect loop sometimes.
I have gone ahead and disabled the preview mode as it is not working properly from my office (due to IT blocking the cloud service) and also regular users encountering issues with it.
Hopefully the preview mode will be improved upon in a software update in the future, I thought it was fine as it was before.
jaread83 - Disabling online attachment viewer is the only workaround as for now. However, I will suggest you raise a ticket to lithium support as well, I didn't notice this issue in any other community. It could only be related to your community only.
