Real-time (asynchronous) notification count

Hi all,

We're testing some notification stuff, and are utilizing this built-in widget to show the current user's notification count:

notificationfeed.widget.indicator

 

We need the count to display in real-time, or asynchronously, without the user refreshing the page--but this doesnt seem to be the case. Is this true? Is there any options/settings to change this, or is there a different widget that can do what i've described better?

      Thanks VarunGrazitti, we figured that much :).  We've created our own solution for the time being that should work with our mobile app efforts.
