Refining Forums within CIC Search

Hi all,

We are looking to use CIC to respond to forum posts which include key words within our searches.

We have created a search which brings up a lot of stuff which we don't need to see. This is because we only have permission to engage with users within certain forums. What we would like to do is refine our searches so they only bring up specific forums. 

I've been asked to raise the question within the developers board and have been advised this might be possible using a REST call when creating this search. Any advise would be appreciated.
