I'm making the call "/restapi/vc/threads/id/123" and the same for messages. While these content do have tags, they do not appear in the API though.
Kindly suggest the required API which can provide both the thread/ message details along with tags.

Presently in lithium, we don't have direct API call for getting message and tags information directly.
I think below API call is might be useful for you.
1)by using this API call you fetch http://community.lithium.com/community-name/restapi/vc/threads/id/123 all messages
2)based on message id you can fetch that message tags by using this API call http://community.lithium.com/community-name/restapi/vc/messages/id/123 /tagging/tags/all
