REST API vs Admin Metrics discrepancy

Hi Jake,

Thanks for looking into this and also the links you provided.

As the REST API server is based on UTC timezone, and my profile was based on PST, thus I've changed it to GTM UK ( which is also +0000 UTC).

But the data I got are still differrent.

REST API gave me 2597 net topics for 1-28 Feb.
Advanced Metrics gave me 2682 though.

Am i missing anything here?

    Hey Cleolee,

    The rest API supports ISO 8601 format. To make sure you're not having time zone issues, you should specify the offset in the API call. (something like
    2012-07-16T19:20+01:00) (http://www.w3.org/TR/NOTE-datetime)

    Also you could have some issues with Daylight savings time which you would need to account for.

      I am having the same issue. I have tried setting my time zone in the API query but I still see a discrepancy. Am I setting the properties correctly?

       

      Community User Time Zone: Central (GMT-6) - It's CDT right now so I used -5 instead.

      Knowledge Base Article Views Metric (from dashboard): 828

      Knowledge Base Article Views Metric (from Rest API): 695
