Trying to retrieve community URL with context object

I am using the following in a custom component: ${community.urls.communityPrefix} It adds /sejnu66972 to the URL and the link doesn't work. I'm not sure what that is. I can use the actual URL but I...

Hi,

The URL for which page do your need? You can build a fully qualified URL for any page on your community using webuisupport.urls.getBuilder(). E.g. for a URL with path parameters you could use:

 

${webuisupport.urls.getBuilder("/some/url",).path("foo", "bar").build()}

 

...to get in return http://currentdomain.com/some/url/foo/bar

URLs from the community context object you originally used may be relative or fully qualified depending on whether it is called from within a Community page (relative) or from outside of the Community application (fully-qualified). So in most cases the relative URL will just workâ„¢ on both stage and production.

Thanks for the information Claudias. I will check it out, but I discovered a solution by looking at some other custom components on our community. I saw others just left out the domain and started their links with /t5/etc... I tried it and it worked. It filled in the community.stage.[ourcommunty].com part of the url. Is there anything wrong with doing it this way?
