What does ActiveCast dispplay if for some reason Lithium is down

Hello,

 

If we include the ActiveCast widget to surface Community content on our external corporate website, I would like to understand what happens if fopr some reason Lithium goes down. What would customers see in the widget? Is there an error message that would display in place of the community content?

 

If there is an issue with the ActiveCast widgets calls to the REST API, what would it display?

 

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated.

    Manasa - You should route this to Lithium support. Your second question is actually pretty similar to first, either community is down or the widget has some issue, so in both cases, the widget is not working. In case the cache is implemented, your active cast could display the content even if community is down.

      Thank you. How do I get in touch with Lithium support?

       

      In addition, as follow up, do you know if we are able to display the content ( via REST API) on an external website in real-time? Or does this need to be polled at certain time intervals.
