It always feels good and fresh when you put a new wash on everything, nice bright new names and so on. But if you change the names of certain resources, it's usually a good idea to put [New Resource Title] (Was: [Old Resource Title]). so those of us used to finding certain information in a certain place can find where the information went. For example, where are Customer Ideas? (I thought this board, but I searched on my name, and found nothing.)
Redirects are also good, as nobody really likes 404s, even if there are nice "soft" messages.
Is there a matrix somewhere on Lithosphere (is it Lithosphere?) telling the old name, new name, and where to go to place this question, that question?
Thank you, Trey, that entry was "below the fold" in the browser, so I didn't even think to scroll down.
Is there a page somewhere that describes where all the old Lithosphere resources were placed, old and new names?
Hi @Warren_Brill , we're actually in the process of creating an article for the About Our Community knowledge base, which will contain exactly the info you're looking for. Look for it very soon! I'll update here once it's been published.
In the meantime, don't hesitate to reach out to anyone from the community team if you require assistance or have questions.
Here it is: http://community.lithium.com/t5/About-our-community/Guide-to-the-new-Lithium-Community/ta-p/140572
Hope this helps!
Me too. I can never find the ideas section. I've given up on posting ideas because I just couldn't locate it.
I cannot find the "Ideas" board. It should not be this hard to navigate the site.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Hi @iftomkins and @tkearsley
You can find the product idea area here: http://community.lithium.com/t5/Product-ideas/idb-p/Lithium_Ideas located under the "Knowledge and Support" tab in the side navigation.
In addition, if you're still having trouble finding areas in our community, you can use the guide JulieH posted above. Hopefully this helps!
Wow, I swear that link was not there earlier. 🙂
Why is it that new users do not see this in their navigation?
Hi @tkearsley ,
Product Ideas require elevated customer access to view and contribute to, which is why you would not see it in the navigation as anonymous. If anyone from your company doesn't yet have the proper access, shoot us an email at email@example.com and we'll be happy to get them set up!
