Khoros Care updates do not require any downtime. This release will be deployed with no expected impact to your operations until you configure the new features. If you do not yet see the new features, they will be pushed to your system later in the week.

New Features

  • Manage View Bulk Actions for Community Moderation

Manage View Bulk Actions for Community Moderation

Last October, Community Moderation columns were added to Manage View. This release expands on this capability by enabling Bulk Moderation from within the Expanded View. Like single-post moderation, Bulk Moderation supports a healthy community; In addition, Bulk Moderation assists agents in the timely review of large numbers of posts so that review-period SLAs are consistently met even as volume increases.

Manage View for Community supports an intelligent implementation of “bulk” processing: Moderators can select a set of posts for a given action, and then set a specific different action for selected posts in that set. Actions supported include Approve, Reject, and Mark as Spam. On execution, the action defined for each specific post will be correctly applied in a single step.

Example: Bulk select 10 posts for “approve” and specify one post as “rejected.” The single rejection will be automatically de-selected from the bulk set and the rejection applied to that specific post only when the full set is submitted for action.

  • It looks like the change to Manage View keyword behavior has drastically changed its function. We are investigating this with a support ticket as well.

Prior to this release, if we put "coffee is amazing" (with or without quotation marks) into the keyword field it would return comments or brand posts that use that exact phrase. Now it looks like it returns anything that uses any of those words: "coffee," "is," or "amazing." This is a drastic change since we use this feature to isolate individual brand posts by putting our post copy into the keywords.

Ideally, it would respect exact phrasing in quotes and allow multiple terms in the column: "Coffee is amazing" "Tea is good" would only show those exact phrases; "Coffee is amazing", latte, mocha would return content using the phrase OR the individual words.
