Layouts
The Layouts available are List and Compact.
In the Edit Widget panel, select one of these options to change the layout.
List
The List layout aligns the place’s tags in a vertical list with the names of the tags on the left and, if desired, the number of associated posts or the “last used” timestamp on the right.
Compact
The Compact layout bunches the place’s tag names together with each one of them on a small label containing, if desired, the number of associated posts.
Configuration options
List style
There are 3 available options in the List style section for the List layout. These include:
- Space: Uses whitespace to create space between items.
- Divide: Adds a horizontal line to divide items.
- Border: Creates a border that separates items into individual boxes.
Title
The Title sets the title that appears at the top of the widget. If the Visible only to screen readers toggle is on, the title is relayed only through screen readers.
Number of items
Use the slider to select the number of tags to display on the widget. The minimum is 10, and the maximum is all of the tags scoped to the current place. If you want to default to a certain number but allow members to view more as desired, see Pagination.
Tag types to include
Use the drop-down menu to select whether you want to display All or just Preset tags in the widget.
Sort by
Use the drop-menu to select whether you want to sort by frequency of Most used or the time the tags were Last used.
List item elements
Elements are additional pieces of information that can be displayed along with each item in the widget. The list of available elements changes depending on which layout you've selected. On the Tags widget, only one option can be selected at a time:
- Post count: The number of posts tagged with this tag in the current place.
- “Last used” timestamp (List element only): A timestamp showing when the tag was last used.
- None
The List layout has an additional Lead With drop-down menu. It enables you to choose to display the tag Icon or None.
Pagination
Use the drop-down menu to select one of the following options:
- Include “Show More” link: Members can click this link to display additional items once the Number of items has been reached.
- Include “Show All” link: When members click this link, a window opens with the entire list of tags in the current place, and they can enter keywords in the Find a tag field to locate specific tags.
- None: Only the number of tags specified as the maximum Number of items are displayed on the widget with no ability for a member to view more.
More Options
Two additional options are available at the bottom of the Edit Widget panel:
- Hide if empty hides any tags that don't have corresponding posts.
- Optimize page-load time uses lazy loading to load images as the member scrolls down the page.
