Additional Ads metrics

The following new Ads metrics have been added to Khoros Marketing Analytics:

  • Ad Saves: The total number of times your ad has been saved. Applies to Facebook and Instagram.
  • Ad Video Plays: The number of times your video starts to play. This is counted for each impression of a video on FB / IG and excludes replays. Applies to Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Auto-generated alt text for images

When images are uploaded as part of a post, alternative (alt) text can be pre-filled based on the returns suggested by image detection API. This feature will be off by default.

Click the Accessibility tab to edit the alt text that appears in place of the image if it fails to load on a user's screen. This text also helps screen-reading tools describe images to visually-impaired users.

This feature can be switched on using the Auto Generate Alt Text toggle.

If the auto-generate feature is switched off, alt text will not be generated for images added to the post afterward, however you can Generate Alt Text for an individual image by clicking the link under it.

Likewise, if auto-generate is on, you can override the feature for an individual image by clicking into the text box and adding your own alt text.

Note: Due to API limitations, image alt text is only available for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest. In a multiple-channel post the alt text will only be published to supported channels.

  • Fixed a bug in Vault wherein users were unable to log into any social accounts.
  • Fixed an accessibility-related bug wherein alt text wasn't being saved on posts when saving a draft, editing a post, or making a copy.
  • Resolved an issue preventing users from logging in to Marketing.
  • Standard Twitter likes, also called Applause, were not appearing in the platform from Sept 20 - October 13, 2022. After a fix was deployed this metric was backfilled for all lifetime (total) values, but a one-time spike will appear for net likes (and engagement) due to the way net values are calculated. Advanced Twitter Metrics (likes and engagement) were not impacted.
  • Resolved an issue causing metrics to be missing for TikTok posts published via the platform. They have been backfilled for all lifetime (total) values, but could not be backfilled for net values.
