New Activity Logs and Exports

We have upgraded governance in Marketing by improving the Users page and adding several new exportable Activity Logs to enable better tracking of actions taken by users.

The Social Marketing Users page shows more information including which approval teams a user belongs to and whether they have access to Talkwalker (if Talkwalker is enabled on your account). Hover your cursor over the numbers indicating counts of Initiatives, Account Sets, or approval teams to view details.

Under Settings > User Management, there is a new section for the User Activity Log. Here you can see actions taken by a user on another user, Initiatives, and Account Sets. Click Filter to open filters at the top of the list for Actor, Action Target, Entity (User, Initiative, and/or Account Set), Action, and date range. Click Export in the upper right to export a CSV file of user activity based on the currently selected filters.

In addition to user activity, you can also export activity logs for Approvals, Label Activity & History, and Authentication History.

Analytics

Notes included in Posts data export

Notes added in Khoros Marketing to posts in the Calendar now appear in data exports under Metadata Fields:

Note: When an account is in multiple Initiatives and auto-import is included, Notes appear only for the Initiative the post was published through unless an Initiative is specified. As such, the best practice to see Notes for auto-imported posts is to select the concerned Initiative for your export.

Publishing

Publish threads to X (formerly Twitter)

Users can now post threads to Twitter directly through Khoros Social Marketing. After choosing a Twitter account, select Twitter Thread from the Format drop-down menu.

Note: When the Twitter Thread format is selected, users cannot choose accounts from other networks or channels to publish this content.

Two tweets are selected by default; click Add Tweet to add more up to a maximum of 25.

Each tweet in the thread can include up to 4 images, 1 video, or 1 GIF. The Options menu includes the ability to select the media source for an image, video, or GIF, as well as the option to delete a tweet from the thread.

Twitter threads published via Khoros Marketing and their metrics are now categorized and grouped together in analytics as a “thread.” Twitter threads published through the platform appear grouped together and individually in the calendar and dashboard side panel.

Note that previously only the main tweet of a thread was categorized as a post. All other tweets in the thread were categorized as responses and filtered out by default via the response filter.

This update allows threads published via the platform and their metrics to be categorized and grouped together in connection to a thread format. However, threads published outside the platform will continue to be categorized as described above.

EveryoneSocial User-Workspace mapping

We have improved the EveryoneSocial integration with Khoros Social Marketing to enhance the process of associating Workspaces with authenticated users.

Before this change, when an EveryoneSocial Workspace was added to Khoros, the post always appeared as if it were published by the user who authenticated the Workspace on Khoros regardless of who was actually publishing the post.

To address this issue, we've implemented user-workspace mapping: the authenticating user’s name is appended to a Workspace when it is authenticated into Khoros Social Marketing.

For example, if Bryan authenticates Workspace A, it is mapped in Khoros as "Workspace A (Bryan)." If Divya later authenticates the same Workspace, it is mapped as "Workspace A (Divya)." This means that when Divya publishes to Workspace A from Khoros, it correctly displays her name as the author on EveryoneSocial.

When publishing content to EveryoneSocial, be sure to choose the Workspace associated with your name from the provided options when creating the post.

IMPORTANT: To ensure that the updated User-Workspace mapping aligns correctly with your account:

  1. Remove any previously added EveryoneSocial Workspaces associated with your Khoros Social Marketing account.
  2. Re-add and authenticate your account to establish the necessary credentials mapping with users.

You Found It. We Fixed It.

Fixed a bug in Marketing Analytics that occurred when applying the Content Types filter on published posts widgets; changes made to the filters incorrectly displayed errors and prevented further interactions on the dashboard. This has been resolved.
