Member Experience

Unsubscribe from email notifications

To comply with Google and Yahoo standards, we’ve added one-click unsubscribe to community emails. When you receive an email from a Khoros Community, an Unsubscribe link appears beside the “from” email address that you can click to unsubscribe from all community notifications.

Administrator Experience

Badges

Migration from Classic

With this release, when a customer upgrades from Community Classic to Community Aurora, their badges are migrated. This includes badge names, descriptions, criteria, and images. All migrated badges are organized into one default badge set. Administrators must create badge sets to organize their existing badges.

To create a badge set

  1. Go to Settings > Users > Badges.
  2. Click Add Set.
  3. On the Add Set window, enter a Name for the set.
  4. Click Add Set.

To move a badge from the default set to another

  1. Ensure that the set to which you want to move the badge is expanded.
  2. Drag the badge from the default badge set and drop it to the desired location in the destination badge set.

To learn more about the Badges feature, see About Badges and Badge Sets. To learn more about organizing your badge sets, see Create and edit badge sets and badges.

Permissions

Admins can now control whether members can view badges in the community and receive notifications for earned badges with the View Badges permission. While the default and recommended setting is Grant, admins may want to set the permission to Deny if they are in the process of creating badges for the first time.

This permission can be adjusted for community permission defaults and for roles at the community level.

Note: Permissions to create and edit badges are inherent to the Administrator role and cannot be modified or added to other roles.

To learn more about badge permissions, see Manage permissions to view badges. For more about roles and permissions in general, see About roles and permissions, and for more about the Badges feature, see About Badges and Badge Sets.

Draft images migration

In previous releases, during upgrades from Community Classic to Community Aurora, we offered the ability to migrate images associated with published content. We continue to offer this feature, and as of this release, we now migrate all images associated with drafts in the community. Any images contained only within galleries are not migrated.

Add Custom fields for Escalations

With this release, you can now add custom fields that will also be mirrored in the Salesforce case when an unresolved discussion is either manually or automatically escalated.

To add custom fields:

  1. Go to Settings > Features > Salesforce > Escalations.
  2. Click Add Custom Field.
  3. Enter a name and a value for the new custom field.
  4. Click Save.

You can see the custom field name and its value listed as shown below:

You also have the option to edit or delete the fields added.

Additional filters on Manage Content dashboard for Abuse reports

In this release, we’ve added the option to filter out abuse reports for Private Messages based on keyword search and who sent the private message.

Go to Manage Content > Abuse, and select Private Messages. Use Keyword to search for a particular term used in a Private Message and Sender to search for the member who sent the message.

Featured Guest Limits for Events

Previously, Event creators could add a maximum of 5 Featured Guests for an event. With this release, the default and limit has been increased to 10. This value is configurable. To change this limit, Contact Khoros Support.

Publish Events with Authenticated Zoom Webinars

Previously, members could not host Community events via authenticated Zoom webinars. Now, you can successfully create and publish an event with a webinar that requires Zoom authentication for members to join.

Analytics

Lead-up to the Event widget

In this release, we have added a new widget to the Events Detail dashboard (Options menu > Analytics > Dashboard > Events Details) called the Lead-up to the Event. This widget displays metrics for all activities that took place within 30 days before the event's commencement. Also, only those events that occurred within the selected time range on the dashboard are considered.

Member report

The Member ID field is now available in both the CSV export and scheduled versions of the Member report.

Developer Experience

Custom Fields for User Synchronization

In this release, you can add custom fields to be synchronized during user sync for your Salesforce integration.

See Create custom fields for user synchronization for more information.

SDK Publication

This release enables you to use NPM from the command line to download the latest version of the Aurora SDK.

See Installing the SDK for more information.

You found it. We fixed it.

  • Previously, on the My Settings page, when members attempted to save changes and navigate away from the page, the Unsaved Changes window appeared. Members then had to click Discard Changes in order to leave the page. Now, when members save after changing settings, the changes are saved and members can navigate away from the page as expected.
  • Previously, when Events board or event URLs were added to any content type, an auto-title was not generated. This issue is fixed.
  • There was a sporadic issue with Likes in events where its count did not change when liked or disliked. This issue is fixed.
  • An issue in which events were not being published in the Firefox browser is fixed.
