Knowledge Base Article page template options
Several new options are available for the Knowledge Base Article content widget located on the Knowledge Base Article page template.
- Open the Account menu and select Designer.
- Select Page Templates.
- Open the Knowledge Base Article template where you want to adjust the configuration of a Knowledge Base Article content widget.
- Open the Edit Widget panel for the main knowledge base article content widget.
- In the Page item elements section, turn off or on the Date, Versions, Helpfulness, and Guide navigation elements as desired.
- In the Display contributors as drop-down menu, select None, Link, or Detailed panel.
- Select Save and Publish to apply your changes to the community.
Refer to Knowledge Base Article content widget configuration for more information.
Header & Footer widget options
When you add or edit a custom or Text/HTML widget to the Header & Footer template, two new options are now available in the More options section.
- Use width of page content: Sets the widget as wide as the page content only rather than as wide as the browser window.
- Remove widget wrapper: Removes the default padding around the widget.
To learn more about the Header & Footer template, refer to Header & Footer configuration. For information about custom and HTML widgets, see Custom widget configuration and Text/HTML widget configuration.
Place information widget descriptions
Place information widgets now show more lines of description on their corresponding dashboard pages. When you add or edit a place information widget (Group Information, Category Information, KB Information, etc.), the Max lines of description text slider now enables you to set up to 20 lines of text for the place’s description. This ensures that the place information widget is not truncated, and members can view the full description when they visit a place dashboard.
Check out our documentation for more information on all widgets (including place information widgets) in our Page Templates KB guide.
Real-time Community Firehose
With Community Firehose, community managers can now access a near real-time stream that captures key event metadata, keeping them informed and enabling prompt responses to critical events. These streams are delivered directly to specified endpoints., with a brief delay of approximately 30 seconds from when the event occurred.
Note: Reach out to your Customer Account Executive (CAE) to learn more about Community Firehose.
Due to the volume of events involved, Page View and Search events are excluded from the Firehose event stream.
Once configured, edit and save the Community Firehose settings, including the REST endpoint, Client ID, and Client Secret, under Account menu > Dev Tools > Firehose.

JWT SSO
JSON Web Token Single Sign On (JWT SSO) is a sign-on mechanism that uses a JWT token to authenticate a user. The JWT token is used for authentication and authorization as it contains information that verifies the user's identity and permissions. JWT SSO can be encrypted to protect sensitive data, reducing token tampering during transmission.

KB Guides GraphQL API Updates
We have numerous updates for the GraphQL API that make organizing and querying posts and KB Guides easier. These include fields that point to the latest revision (unpublished or published) of a post, sorting by most recently edited, and for identifying which guides come before and after a target article.
The user type also includes a new title field, enabling you to view and add titles to user profiles.
We have a full breakdown of these updates in the Developer Docs Portal change log.
You can browse our GraphQL API schema and test queries on our demo content in our GraphQL documentation.
You found it. We fixed it.

- When an SSO user accesses a non-public community page, they are now redirected to a sign-in screen.
